One of the things I enjoy the most in Barcelona is going for a walk on a Saturday morning to Rambla Catalunya and around, wandering round the shops, ending up with a lazy “aperitivo” at Bar Mut with some friends. It cheers me up!

There are two places in Barcelona where running is more than a sport: running along Diagonal Av. on a Sunday morning is one of the most exciting ways to become a local runner, and running along the Carretera de les Aigües, a path along Collserola hill 300 meters high, where you have Barcelona under your feet. Don’t miss running in on a sunny day!! You’ll see Barcelona in a picture!!

I came to live to Barcelona seven years ago and loved the city... and the food! I specially enjoy the Born neighbourhood and its multi-cultural atmosphere with all the little bars, restaurants and terraces, day and night time. You can find great options no matter your budget, taste or mood!

I like spending the weekends with my family in Mont-rás, a small and quite village in the Costa Brava. I love going with my kids in the sunny mornings to “Platja Castells”, a very nice beach were we enjoy a lot picking shells from the sand.

Barcelona is a crowded city, encircled by the sea and the mountains, and mainly in its borders is where I enjoy it the most: I love strolling by the Barceloneta beach on Saturday mornings and at midday I stop by the bookshop “Negra y Criminal” where Montse Clavé invites her customers to eat delicious mussels; at night, nothing better than a savory dinner at a restaurant in the slope of the Tibidabo hill, admiring all the city lights.

Whenever I get a chance my favorite spot is Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral and its surroundings. Whether you´ve read the novel, “Cathedral of the Sea” by Ildefonso Falcones, or not, while in presence of this Cathedral it´s quite easy to let your imagination run wild and literally transport you into medieval Barcelona. I love the surrounding area with its quirky shops, tiny restaurants with 6 tables and spectacular attention to detail. Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, walk into Bubó and admire the pastries!!!
