Otherwise, we can also just turn a trip you’ve planned into a dream vacation by adding just the special treats you crave– a private cooking class, a guided walking tour, a yatch cruise picnic, or the best room in a charming country hotel.
Either it is your first visit to Barcelona, or you are a frequent admirer of its treasures, either you have just two days-off or you can enjoy a fortnight vacation in Catalonia, Be a Local will assess your interests and optimize your journey.
Take a look at some sample itineraries we have carefully selected for our customers:

  1. //1// For a family group we prepared a four day stay in a modernist large select and luxurious flat in the Barcelona Eixample that provided all the space, comfort, facilities and privacy they needed, better than the best suite in the best hotel. Among other activities around the city, all the family was gathered around the kitchen table to enjoy a pleasant cooking lesson led by a well-known private chef. Then they spent three days in a lovingly restored farmhouse in La Garrotxa countryside with its volcanoes, mule trails, Romanesque churches and medieval villages.
  2. //2// For a couple that was celebrating their third visit to Barcelona and their wedding anniversary, we directed them from the airport to an exclusive country house hotel in the centre of the L’Empordà region. There, they enjoyed five days of gastronomy, golf, boat trips and a classic music performance in a medieval castle that made their stay memorable. On the sixth day they returned to Barcelona for a two day shopping and contemporary art exhibitions exploration, discovering at the same time the ultimate award wining restaurants.
  3. //3//For a group of six close friends we planned a three day stay in Barcelona in a state-of-the-art apartment in a high-class hotel, they could enjoy the beach and the museums they were interested in; on the fourth day they took a yatch trip to Sitges thorough the Garraf coast and stayed there one night. Next, they drove through small curving roads to a special villa in the Priorat area.
  4. //4//For a couple with two children that had already passed through Barcelona on their year-off after college, we prepared a seven-day sojourn that, especially for the weekend, reflected what a catalan family longs to do in winter, that is to escape to La Cerdanya. There is alpine and cross-country skiing, and you can also dip into the medieval history of the Romanesque churches you will find around.

As you can see, the secret to a great vacation is finding the special places and experiences that will be most meaningful to you.
